Serpentine Belt Replacement

Today, most vehicles use one or more micro-v belts (Serpentine Belts) powered by the engine’s crankshaft to drive the water pump, power steering pump, air conditioner compressor, and alternator. Over the generally recommended 40,000 to 50,000 mile replacement interval, the average belt makes 18-20 million cycles around the pulleys. It’s easy to see why they get brittle, crack, stretch, and sometimes break. In fact, a defective Serpentine Belt is the third leading cause of vehicle breakdown. The bottom line is that if your Serpentine Belt breaks, you’re in big trouble.

Potential problem? Simple solution.

While getting your oil changed, trained technicians check your Serpentine Belt and can replace it at recommended intervals (for most cars, that’s 40,000-50,000 miles) in a matter of minutes. So ask your service technician about your Serpentine Belt, and experience the feeling of driving as though you didn’t have a care in the world.

Recommended Service Interval: we recommend you change the Serpentine Belt when

  • there are more than four cracks in the belt per inch
  • any single crack is more than half the depth of the belt.
  • it has been between 40,000-50,000 or more since it was last replaced

Radiator Flush and Exchange

Cooling System Failure is one of the top causes of roadside breakdown.

Antifreeze/Coolant is like medicine for your car. To say your engine is hot when it’s running is a colossal understatement. Its internal temperature can reach more than 1400° F. Antifreeze/Coolant (which is the same fluid) is your engine’s buffer, its protective shield against the blast furnace it works in. It keeps your engine from literally melting. And in winter, this wonder fluid can keep your engine from turning into ice.

How does antifreeze/coolant work?

The cooling system consists of a radiator, water pump, hoses, fan(s), heater, thermostat and engine coolant. The cooling system removes excess heat from the engine block and heads, keeps the engine operating and its most efficient temperature, and gets the engine up to the correct temperature as soon as possible after starting.

Synthetic Oil Change

Save TIME & MONEY with the 7,500-mile Synthetic oil change

Superior wear protection - your engine last longer has improved fuel economy, reduced deposits on critical engine parts, and fewer oil changes,  Saving TIME & Money.  An average driver drives 15,000 miles per year.  That's two oil changes versus five at 3,000 mile intervals, a minimum savings of $10.00 or more per oil change.

SYNTHETIC oil is a dynamic product that has been available for over 30 years

Air Filter Replacement

The air filter removes dirt and dust from the air that flows into the engine.  Having a clean air filter is essential for keeping contaminants out of your engine.  Failure to do so will reduce fuel economy and cause poor engine performance.  Dirty filters cause the engine to work harder than normal to draw the required amount of air for proper combustion.

Poor engine performance and increased exhaust emissions are the result of a dirty air filter or PCV Valve.  An improperly operating PCV system fails to remove contaminants and water vapor from the crankcase.

Air filters and PCV Valves should be checked on a regular basis.  Super Lube Plus can check both parts during regular oil change intervals.  Recommended replacement is based on the condition of parts and the manufacturer's recommended service interval.  The standard recommended service interval is every 15,000 miles (for most cars).  However, it is important that they are checked every 3,000 miles since driving conditions vary.
